Life Just Wasting Away

Somber Mood.

Life just wasting away.

I sit before a stupid screen

Typing my life away.

Hours...

Minutes...

Seconds...

turn to

days...

months...

years...

My life just wasting away...

An attempt to dull my fears...

An attempt to ease my pain...

On being human...

I've been good
I've been bad,
I've been happy,
I've been down,
I've made mistakes,
I've been a winner,
Cried my eyes out,
Laughed till I was in stiches,
I've had my share of luck,
Been very unfortunate sometimes,
I've been free,
I've been trapped,

I've loved,
and hated...

and lived ...

and that's what makes us human...

Arabi - A Poem for Palestine

Allow me to introduce you to "Arabi". The poet who has kindly agreed to publish his poetry on my blog. The first poem I'm publishing today is called " سلمى- أواه يا وطن "

It talks about a Palestinian girl called Salma, who looks for Arab support for her cause, but of course gets no reply. She searches for an identity that has been robbed by the enemy. She longs for her home that was demolished, and for the family she lost.

To Palestine, with love,

-Arabi

Peace,

False Protection

To be shelled inside a prison of thoughts in a narrow mind
Is what you look for what you want for me to find;

Out of freedom, give me space to breathe and to live,
That little freedom is too much for you to give;
While I try to mend the pieces of my broken heart,
I watch you stop the flow of love between two hearts;
Carefully cocooned in the hours of your captivating past,
You still hold on to angry thoughts, raged and made outcast;
King upon your throne, your aura is dull but all around,
Beneath the sky of purple haze, your dominance can be found;

Love,
